Hospitality Resilience Talks by WinsedSwiss

Share your experience and listen to the views of experts from the business world and the hospitality industry about the effects of economic downturn

winsedswiss offers:

  • 1-2 hours per week, entirely online
  • a series of interviews with key figures from the hospitality industry and the business world
  • a forum discussion area on the web
  • each interview will be followed by a weekly video link interactive debate hosted by Prof Ray Iunius and his guests

Participants will walk away with new and/or re-enforced knowledge and views about how the hospitality industry can handle risks and recover from the current major economic crisis.

Programme Director: Prof Ray Iunius, CEO winsedswiss education group, formerly Professor at Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne
Professor Ray Iunius is a leading international expert in hospitality industry innovation and development. His research and projects have influenced service education for the last decades.

Delivery mode: Remote, online, using the video links, synchronous and asynchronous discussion on the website.

The Talks
Every Friday, at 5pm CET, winsedswiss will release on its website a video interview with an influencer from the world of business and hospitality industry. You have three days to:
  • Watch the video online
  • Do the quiz associated with each video
  • Ask questions, make comments and discuss with colleagues in the forum on the topics raised in the video
Every Monday, at 5pm CET, Prof Ray Iunius will host the Hospitality Resilience Talk via video link on the Zoom platform around the topic of the video from the previous Friday. All those who watched the video and completed the online quiz can participate (they will receive a link for the conference by email every Monday if they have completed the quiz, no matter what the results). Some of the talks will be attended by those who were interviewed, but this cannot be guaranteed at this stage.

Peter Vrijsen is a Dutch businessman, visionary and leader with almost 40 years of experience within HR positions. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TIAS School for business and society in the Netherlands. Peter Vrijsen was a member of the Executive Board of Directors for METRO Cash&Carry Beteiligungs GMBH & Co KG in Dusseldorf, Germany, and then became the Chief People Officer of InBev S.A. in Belgium. He is also a Chairman of the winsedswiss education group Switzerland Board of Directors.

Paul Dubrule is a French businessman and politician. He co-founded AccorHotels in 1967. He served as a member of the French Senate from 1999 to 2004. In 2002, he established the Ecole d'Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Hospitality Resilience Talks represents the framework within which winsedswiss has invited a series of top managers from the international business scene to share with us their experience in managing risks and in making use of challenges or crises in order to reinvent their business. We bring to our public a number of online tutorials followed by moderated discussions about possible solutions to adopt in the aftermath of the current pandemic, with scenarios that can help re-launch business and overcome the negative impact of this period on the future of the hospitality and luxury industries and related services.

The programme consists of a series of talks and interviews and will start on 14 April.

Some of the leaders who have already confirmed are Jean-Claude Biver (former CEO of Hublot), Paul Dubrule (founder of ACCOR Hotels), Elie Vannier (former CEO of seven different companies worldwide).

Registrations will open on 7 April at noon CET.
